Story District's Breaking Bread
Story District's Breaking Bread
Prominent chefs, food writers, editors, and other industry insiders will share the historic Lincoln Theatre stage for the first time ever to tell true, personal stories. Chefs Carla Hall, former host of ABC’s The Chew, and Kwame Onwuachi, 2019 winner of the James Beard Foundation’s Rising Star Chef of the Year award, Joe Yonan, Food Editor of The Washington Post, and four other local leaders join us on stage to share true stories stories about their personal relationship to food.

“The cast is full of dynamic and charming DC creatives with perspectives that span the local food landscape and reflect diverse cultural influences. Each cast member has fascinating stories about their relationship to food and how they got to where they are today. With Breaking Bread, we’re giving these big names in the industry the support and coaching to dig deep and work through their stories — as well as giving them the stage to share these personal moments that matter at a time when DC’s food and beverage scene is skyrocketing” says Story District’s Artistic Executive Director, Amy Saidman.
