Where can I purchase tickets?

Tickets for 9:30 Club, The Atlantis, Lincoln Theatre, The Anthem, Merriweather Post Pavilion, and some additional I.M.P. shows that take place outside of our venues can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com.

Tickets for ALL shows can be purchased in person at the 9:30 Club, Lincoln Theatre, The Anthem, and Merriweather Post Pavilion box offices, and at 9:30 The Truck.

Disclaimer
Tickets for all shows are sold online through Ticketmaster or in person at the Box Offices at The Anthem, 9:30 Club, Lincoln Theatre, and Merriweather Post Pavilion, and at 9:30 The Truck. Tickets are sometimes also available through fan club sites as presales or special VIP packages. Please be aware that tickets purchased through other, secondary market sources (i.e. “scalpers”), may or may not be legitimate. I.M.P. does not endorse using any secondary ticketing sources, and the Box Office can not resolve any issues involving them, such as lost or invalid tickets.

When can I get into said awesome show?

We know you can’t wait, but doors (or gates) open at the time listed on your ticket and the website. Please note that these vary by show. Patience is a virtue.

How can I meet a certain artist? (They’re my fave!)

We know you love lots of acts (we do too!). We are typically not involved in any meet-and-greets and generally have nothing to do with artist/fan relations (outside of putting a ticket in your hand!). We suggest looking on the artist’s social media, checking with their fan club, or following radio stations, publications, or other media outlets that will be keyed-into the band’s music for any info on meet-and-greets (should they exist).

Can I bring my camera? What’s the photo/media policy?

Media policy varies greatly by show. Call the respective venue’s box office one hour before doors and we can fill you in as to what is/is not allowed.

When are those box offices open?

We have four box office locations. You can purchase tickets to all of our shows at any of our box offices.

Lincoln Theatre
The Lincoln Theatre box office is open from 12-6:30 pm Mon-Fri. The box office is open on Saturdays and Sundays only if there’s a show. In these instances, the box office will open 2 hours before doors, and will close at 9pm. The box office is closed on major holidays.

The Anthem

On show days, the box office is open from 12:00 pm – 9:30 pm.

All box office locations are closed on major holidays unless there is a show.

How Do I Get a Refund?

All sales are final. We don’t offer refunds or exchanges unless a show is cancelled. Please keep in mind that support acts and set times are subject to change at any time.

How Can I Avoid Service Fees?

You can buy tickets in person at our box offices and at 9:30 The Truck (our new mobile box office) with no service fees!

When do tickets go on sale? How can I get access to presales?

From time to time, we’re able to offer presales for shows to our email subscribers (we love you all!). You can keep up with these presales by signing up for our newsletter HERE.

When can I pick up my tickets?

You can pick up your tickets from Will Call at any time during each venue’s box office hours, and you also can select an option to have your tickets mailed to you. Certain shows will give you an option to have your tickets emailed to you for printing at home.

Note: For Fan Club presales, refer to the specific venue for instructions on when those tickets can be picked up.

How can I transfer tickets / Change the name on tickets?

For 9:30 Club, Lincoln Theatre, The Atlantis, and The Anthem, tickets are non-transferable until 72 hours prior to the show time. At The Anthem, Super Excellent Seats are non-transferrable and day-of-show pick up only.

If the tickets were bought through Ticketmaster and you’ve chosen to have them held at the Will Call window, you can have a friend pick them up, but they must provide ALL of the following items:
– Copy of your ID
– Copy of the Credit Card used to purchase (all digits can be blacked-out except for the last four)
– Confirmation number

Alternatively, you can come to any of our box offices anytime we’re open and pick them up (make sure you have a valid ID). That way you can just give them to your friend.

If you purchased tickets through an artist’s fan club, you will need to contact them directly. We can’t make any adjustments to their list. Fan club tickets are usually will call only and we don’t get them until 1 hour before doors open.

Note: Policies for tickets purchased for venues outside of 9:30 Club, The Atlantis, Merriweather Post Pavilion, The Anthem, and Lincoln Theatre vary. Check the venue’s website for their specific ticketing and will call policies.

Is there an age requirement to enter shows?

Unless otherwise specified, our shows are all-ages, all the time. Yes – you can bring your (ear-protected, hopefully) baby to the death metal show.

How is seating handled?

Unless a show or section is otherwise specified, it is General Admission (GA) and therefore first-come, first-served. If the tickets include assigned seats, there will be ushers at the venue to help you find the correct seat.

Are you ADA friendly?

We take steps to ensure that anyone can see any show.

9:30 Club & Lincoln Theatre
Wheelchair accessible options for reserved shows are available through Ticketmaster. Call the venue to inquire about other accommodations or if you have tickets to a General Admission (GA) show.

Merriweather Post Pavilion & The Anthem
Wheelchair accessible options are available through Ticketmaster. Select the ADA option when purchasing tickets.

The Atlantis
Patrons with special needs should call 202.579.9950 in advance to make arrangements.

Do outdoor shows cancel if the weather is bad?

Our outdoor shows are rain or shine. We have safety precautions in place in the event of storms and continually update patrons via our large screens and social media.

Do I need my ID to enter the venue?

An ID is only required if you are picking up tickets at will call or plan on drinking alcohol. Because most of our shows are all-ages, we take checking IDs very seriously. In compliance with local laws, anyone 21 and older who plans on drinking alcohol will have to show a valid, non-expired, government issued photo ID, no matter how old you think you may look. Anyone without proper ID, regardless of age, will be treated as under 21 and not allowed to buy, hold or drink alcohol. This policy is strictly enforced and any violation will result in immediate ejection from the venue.

Can I bring food in?

It varies by venue:

9:30 Club, The Atlantis, The Anthem, and Lincoln Theatre
Unfortunately, we cannot allow outside food and beverages in any way. This includes to-go boxes and unopened drinks. Reusable bottles must be emptied. Anyone who attempts to bring in alcohol will be denied entry.

Merriweather Post Pavilion
Outside food is permitted, so long as it is in a clear, non-glass container no larger than a one-gallon bag. Empty or factory-sealed water bottles are allowed. No other outside beverages are allowed. Anyone who attempts to bring in alcohol will be denied entry.

Will food be available for purchase?

Each of our venues has different food options (all of which are delectable beyond comprehension):

9:30 Club
We have a variety of tacos, quesadillas, and salad bowls available at the ‘Food Food’ stand on the lower level. Because who doesn’t love tacos?!?

The Anthem
We offer an array of sandwiches, finger foods, and sweets, as well as a full bar and a gourmet coffee bar. Click here to see our menu.

Lincoln Theatre
We offer popcorn, candy and our world-famous “Lincoln Logs,” and we have three full bars for beverages.

Merriweather Post Pavilion
There are many food stands located all around the venue serving a variety of foods from light snacks to full meals. Click here to view all of the food and beverage offerings. There are also maps around the venue and in programs that will allow you to make your ultimate selection of deliciousness.

The Atlantis does not offer food at this time.

Where can I park?

Parking varies greatly by venue:

9:30 Club & The Atlantis
The 9:30 Club and The Atlantis parking lot is located at 2366 9th St NW, a few blocks north of the Club. The monitored parking lot opens 1 hour before doors. Parking is available for 9:30 Club here and for The Atlantis here. Parking is available in advance for $20, and at the lot on the night of the show for $25, pending availability. (If purchasing online, please make sure you select the date that corresponds to the show you are attending!) Note: On site parking is credit only, no cash. If you purchased your parking pass online, your name will be at the gate with our attendant.

Additionally, the venues are within walking distance of the U Street/Cardozo Metro Station (Green Line), with the 10th St entrance being the closest. Note that Metro parking lots are free on weekends and holidays.

The Lincoln Theatre
Parking options around Lincoln Theatre are limited to street parking and a few unaffiliated paid lots. We strongly recommend “going green” and utilizing the city’s various public transportation options. The 13th St entrance of the U Street/Cardozo Metro Station (Green Line) is located directly across form the Theatre. Note that Metro parking lots are free on weekends and holidays.

The Anthem
While we encourage visitors to The Anthem to use public transportation whenever possible, there is are parking options. Click here for info about getting to the venue.

Merriweather Post Pavilion
Thanks to the new and significant community development surrounding Merriweather, the venue will provide some new on-site parking as well as other added parking locations in close proximity to the venue. Now all ticket holders driving a vehicle NEED to pre-select parking once tickets have been purchased. This means a more even transportation flow into the venue – and no more searching for parking when you arrive – just head straight to your designated parking area – there will be a spot waiting for you! Click here for more info on Merriweather parking.

Don’t forget to bring your physical parking ticket (or electronic ticket on your smart phone) for entry into your designated area. Note to ridesharers, walkers, bussers, carpoolers and cyclists: If you have made other transportation arrangements, great. But if your plans change, don’t forget to click on the parking link and make your parking selection before the show.
